Trius Showcase Late Harvest Vidal 2021 VQA 375mL

WINE MAKING

After an extremely long hang time, to develop and intensify the unique complexities of the Vidal, the grapes were harvested with an average Brix reading of 35.7˚. Only the first pressing of the grapes was used for our Showcase Late Harvest, which releases the exquisite, pure fruit expression of the Vidal grape. The juice was then fermented at a cool temperature and aged in stainless steel tanks.

FLAVOUR PROFILE

A bright yellow gold colour with amazing pure fruit aromas of Bartlett pear, starfruit, golden kiwi, golden pineapple, and an added note of floral honey. A luxurious, medium-bodied wine with a medium sweet palate balanced by refreshing acidity. Wonderful flavours of candied pineapple, golden kiwi, and peach juice fill the mouth. Lemon drops, candied citrus peel, golden kiwi, and floral honey linger exquisitely on the finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Serve at a cool 8 to 10°C. Serve with salty appetizers, or liver pâté on crusty bread. Wonderful with spicy Indian curry dishes and Mexican foods. Serve with fruit-based desserts that are less sweet than the wine, such as poached pear, apple tarts, peach galette, and apricot crêpe. Serve with nut-based cakes, pound cake, delicate pastries and short breads. Serve with blue cheese, aged cheddar or Manchego, with crispy crackers. Enjoy now through 2027.
